COS I Said So

COS

"Mama used to say" is a ubiquitous phrase, likely because a good mama will always have a lot to share. Any good child would take a mother's advice, actions, and other witticisms to heart. Even better, a Southern mother is more likely to present these themes with their own je ne sais quoi. Perhaps, it's a bit of flair, extra charm, spunk, or spite. But, a Southern mama just gets it on another level.

Southerners have had a lot to say over time about their mothers, due to the fact that they are all known for being subtle...like a freight train. We understand that motherhood is a choice you make every day, to put someone else's happiness and well-being ahead of your own, to teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing even when you're not sure what the right thing is, and forgiving yourself, over and over again, for doing everything wrong. One common phrase we can all relate to is  "Because I said so!" While it throws logic out the window, you understand its meaning. It is the sassiest, feistiest, and most clever little nugget that defines Southern motherhood.

COS (Collection of Style) is a Scandinavian fashion house that offers reinvented classics and wardrobe essentials for women which are designed to live beyond the season. Their collections merge lasting quality with timeless design. As Southern women, our mothers taught us to always aim to put our best face forward—both literally and figuratively, and hopefully at the same time. We love our lipstick and have it on whether we're at the yoga studio or our favorite fancy dinner spot. Southern-style — when done properly — has much more to do with a relentless dedication to always presenting the best version of yourself, without allowing the stress of everyday hustle and obstacles to seep into your presentation. What were my mother's rules to Southern Style: Southern attitude, Beauty routine first, Dress for the occasion, Athleisure? Bless Your Heart, Navy is the new black, Embrace accessories, Shop at boutiques, and Remember your style icon - Mama.
